Golden Poms
The Golden Poms Team specializes in technical pom dance and will represent the studio at a variety of events throughout the year, including community outreach performances, Purdue University, UDA competitions and the Golden Steps Recital. This team will also coordinate and host a youth dance workshop.
Audition Skills
- Double pom pirouettes right and left with arm variations (mastered)
- Triple pom pirouette right (mastered)
- Splits two ways out of three (mastered)
- Front and side leg holds sustained for four counts
- Tilt kicks right and left / tilt jumps side of your choice
- Calypsos right and left with high V arm placement
- Front hurdlers
- Toe touches
- Turning discs
- Jetes right and left
- Center leaps right
- Four turns in a la seconde with double pom pirouette exit (mastered)
- Strong presentation skills (confidence, projection, energy)
- High level of precision with arm placement on all pom motions
