Twirling Team

Our twirlers will learn various styles of choreography, including dance twirl, parade corps and solo twirl team. This team will perform at community outreach events, Purdue University, USTA and/or NBTA twirling competitions and the Golden Steps Recital. Each member of the team will be paired with a Purdue twirler, who will serve as her Mentor throughout the year.
 
Audition Skills: single arm and elbow rolls, arm roll catch behind the back, elbow extension rolls, double elbow rolls, two backneck traps, four fishtails right and/or left, vertical and horizontal four fingertwirls, vertical and horizontal tosses with one spin, horizontal toss with sit, table tosses, waist wraps, leg wraps, basic vertical and horizontal exchange work

To audition for the Twirling Team, please plan to attend the following:

May 1, 2012 – Audition Workshop (early evening)
May 3, 2012 – Performance Team Auditions (early evening)
