Tap Team

The Golden Steps Tap Team will focus on clear and precise tap sounds, challenging rhythms and syncopation and advanced-level tap steps while exploring different styles of tap. Our tappers will have two or three competition opportunities in addition to a performance at the Golden Steps Recital and community outreach events.

Audition Skills: pullbacks, double pullbacks, single foot pullbacks, toe stands, toe stand turns, Gregory Heinz, shuffle pick-ups, scissors, wings, clear and precise sounds, intricate rhythms, control of upper body and arms while tapping.

Optional Audition Skills: syncopated wings, single foot wings, wing to toe stand, shiggy bops
