Adult Hip Hop Step 2
This class is designed for the dancer who wishes to improve their physicality and get a good workout through dance. Class begins with a warm-up and stretch followed by choreography which includes fun, intermediate hip hop dance combinations.

Adult Lyrical Ballet Step 2
Adult students with ballet and/or lyrical dance experience will enjoy this class and its focus on both ballet technique and musicality. A segment of each class is dedicated to barre, center and across the floor technical exercises. In addition, short lyrical choreography combinations are taught each week as a way to target full-body expression with music.

Adult Tap Step 1
Students will learn tap technique and a variety of steps. Whether you come for a great aerobic workout or to increase your dance vocabulary, you’re sure to have fun!

Adult Tap Step 2
Students will learn full length tap combinations that will focus on precise steps and foot articulation, movement through space, rhythmic awareness and layering, and will incorporate the use of arm and full body dynamics used in performing tap.

Ballet Pointe Steps 1 & 2
This class is designed for students with strong training in the foundational genres of Classical Ballet and/or Lyrical Ballet. With emphasis on lower-body strength and upper-body control, much time is spent at the barre working on strengthening exercises such as releves, echappes and piques on pointe. Step 2 students begin working in center with similar exercises as well as beginning travel sequences. With a combination of classical technique and modern style, our Ballet Pointe class offers technical development in a fun environment.

Ballet/Jazz Fusion Step 1
This class is for students ages 6 to 8 with a focus on the fundamentals of ballet (posture, core strengthening, footwork and body control) as well as familiarity with ballet and jazz terminology. It also introduces students to a beginning level of jazz performance. Attention to detail with accurate technique will be emphasized through a variety of skill sets practiced at the barre, in center and across the floor.

Ballet/Jazz Fusion Step 2 (Divisions I and II)
As a continuation of Ballet/Jazz Fusion Step 1, this class is intended for students ages 9 and older who have completed at least one full year of the Step 1 class or who are placed by the teacher. More in-depth work with correct technique and upper-body placement is targeted through barre, center floor and across the floor exercises. Short choreography combinations are practiced as well with transitions incorporated. PREREQUISITE SKILSS: perfected single pirouette, intermediate execution of chaine and pique turns, grand jete

Ballet/Jazz Fusion Step 3
This class is designed for dancers who have solid background in ballet/jazz and offers in-depth training in multiple pirouettes (doubles and triples), fouette turns (closed and open), pique turns in sequence and turning combinations. We will continue development of lower-body strengthening and upper-body control for accurate and dynamic leap execution. In addition to grand jetes and center leaps, students will gain practice with switch leaps and jete combinations. PREREQUISITE SKILLS: perfected double pirouette, chaine turns across the floor, single pique turns, grand jete (split leap), some experience with fouette turns/turns in a la seconde and center leaps (The fouette turns and center leaps do not need to be completely mastered to enter this class).

Baton Fundamentals Step 1 (Divisions I and II)
This beginning level class offers fundamental baton twirling skills along with bodywork execution. This is a perfect fit for students interested in both twirling and dance fundamentals. (Divison 1 is for students that are brand new to Baton Fundamentals.  Division 2 is for students progressing with the skills for the Step 1 class.)

Baton Fundamentals Step 2
Students who have mastered the twirling basics, including accurate technique with both vertical and horizontal tosses, are ready to move to the Step 2 class. Focus is placed on twirling combinations that incorporate the isolated skills learned in Step 1. Specific tricks targeted in this class include vertical and horizontal one spins with arm and catch variations, two spins, double elbow rolls, back neck traps, longer swing sections and bodywork skills such as jetes, hitchkicks and sisones. PREREQUISITE: Baton Fundamentals Step 1 as well as instructor recommendation

Baton Fundamentals Step 3
This class is for students who demonstrate strong baton fundamentals as well as bodywork skills. Longer vertical and horizontal sections and more advanced rolls are targeted in this class. Emphasis is also placed on multiple turns such as two spins with arm and catch variations and three spins. In addition, beginning-level two baton work is introduced. PREREQUISITE: mastery of vertical and horizontal two spins as well as instructor recommendation

Breaking Step 2
This class is for individuals who have proficient skills in basic breaking learned in Hip Hop Step 1. The class will focus primarily on advanced breaking moves and freestyle rather than choreography. Most moves learned in this class will focus on the acrobatic elements of Breaking (such as windmills and head spins) and will require much control, precision, and strength. This class is open to those with recommendation from Hip Hop Step 1 instructor.

Classical Ballet Steps 2 and 3
With focus on classical ballet training, this class begins with thorough flexibility stretching, transitions into ballet exercises at the barre and further develops with center and across the floor work. PREREQUISITE: Ballet and Jazz Technique, Ballet/Jazz Fusion Step 2 and/or Lyrical Ballet Step 3 as well as teacher recommendation

Contemporary Jazz Step 2
Progressing from the fundamental technique developed in Ballet/Jazz Fusion Steps 1 and 2 is Contemporary Dance Step 2. This class introduces elements of modern and improvisation as dancers are encouraged to explore form variation and full-body expression with much attention on musicality.

Dance Team Technique Steps 2 & 3
Geared toward middle and high school dance team students, this class offers a lot of work on accurate dance technique with attention to detail on foot placement, upper-body control, performance quality and correct execution. Technical skills such as jazz pirouettes, turns in a la seconde, calypsos, center leaps, switch leaps, surprise leaps and turning discs are incorporated as well as flexibility development.

Feet/Legs/Flexibility
Dance involves every part of the body with more advanced skills requiring core stability and overall flexibility. This class provides a foundation for preparing the body to perform at its optimum level with emphasis placed on arm strength, core control, stamina and lower-body flexibility. Deep-level stretching, cardio and cross training exercises are incorporated. We also take time to discuss the physical needs of the body and how to condition and take good care of the body as part of the curriculum.

Hip Hop Step 1
Hip Hop Step 1 is a class for both girls and boys ages 8 and older who express an interest in hip hop style dance. The class will introduce young students to the beginning levels of breaking with much attention on personality expression through movement.

Hip Hop Step 2
Hip Hop Step 2 is an introductory/intermediate level class with a focus on choreography technique and skills. This Hip Hop class is most suitable for students with some Hip Hop class experience. Students will progress into more advanced skills and learn choreography combos. The class will also introduce basic grooves and expose individuals to intermediate bboy/bgirl techniques.

Hip Hop Step 3
Hip Hop Step 3 is an advanced class with a focus on choreography combos and skills. This class is great for the teen to adult student who wants to develop not only technique but also self-confidence, style, showmanship, choreography and musicality.

Irish Dance
Irish Dance is a unique style of dance as it involves intricate footwork with no movement of the upper body. It closely resembles the Broadway production, “Riverdance.” This class focuses first on turning the feet out and staying on the balls of the feet at all times. It also incorporates cardio as Irish dancing always has specific jumps and leaps in the steps. There is soft shoe and hard shoe. Our students begin with the soft shoe dance for at least one year. The three soft shoe dances learned include the Jig, Reel and Slip Jig.

Lyrical Ballet Step 3
Designed for students with accurate training in ballet technique, this class offers continued development of classical ballet execution with barre, center and across the floor combinations. In addition, we will explore musical expression through lyrical performance. Focus areas of the class will include upper body expression, core and lower body strengthening, accurate technique and further development with pirouettes and leaps. PREREQUISITE: Classical Ballet Steps 2 and 3 for at least one year as well as instructor recommendation

Pom/Leaps/Jumps/Turns Step 1 (ages 7-11)
This class offers a beginning foundation for students interested in pom dance and/or cheerleading. Emphasis is placed on pom fundamentals, including correct arm motion placement, pirouette preps/single pom pirouettes and beginning-level leaps and jumps (basic jetes, tuck jumps and straddle jumps). In addition, flexibility is targeted through lower-body stretching and work on kick technique each class.

Pom/Leaps/Jumps/Turns Step 2
Progressing from the Step 1 class, students at the Step 2 level continue to develop precision with their pom fundamentals and also start working on short pom dance combinations with basic rhythms so they can explore beginning-level musicality. Specific skills targeted in this class include single and double pom pirouettes, jetes, center leaps, sisones, toe touches and tilt kicks. PREREQUISITE: Pom/Leaps/Jumps/Turns Step 1 and/or instructorrecommendation

Pom/Leaps/Jumps/Turns Step 3
High energy, precision and technical expertise define this class with emphasis on pom syncopation and rhythm variation as well as more advanced leaps, jumps and turns (triple pom pirouettes, turns in a la seconde, surprise leaps, switch leaps, turning disks, calypsos, front hurdlers, tilt kick jumps, etc. Isolated skills are developed as well as musicality with short and longer choreography sections that incorporate various styles of pom dance with technical elements. PREREQUISITE: Pom/Leaps/Jumps/Turns Step 2 and/orinstructor recommendation

Power Hour Fitness
This high energy fitness class combines cardio, agility, yoga, weights, resistance training, and core strengthening exercises in a stealth fashion to where all trainees are amazed at their accomplishments and fully energized at the end of the workout.  Unique combinations of individual and paired exercises evolve into a fun exercise experience that provides the right mix of activities and challenges that make the time in the class fly by, leading to positive results in just 60 powerful minutes.

Rhythm and Creative Movement (ages 4 to 6 )
This class is for young students ages 4 to 6 and is designed specifically to meet the needs of a preschool or kindergarten performer. Both Ballet and Tap are incorporated in this class. Emphasis will be placed on body awareness, motor skill development, coordination, rhythm development to music, balance and flexibility. Effective communication skills will be practiced as the students develop self-confidence and enthusiasm for dance exploration in beginning ballet and tap.

Tap Step 1 (ages 6 to 8) (Divisions I and II)
This introduction to tap teaches an awareness of beat, timing, rhythm and coordination while focusing on tap fundamentals. Students will learn the proper tap technique to create clean distinct sounds and later be introduced to rhythmic layering. (Divison 1 is for students that are brand new to tap fundamentals. Division 2 is for students progressing with the skills for the Step 1 class.)

Tap Step 2  (ages 9 and up)
Students will learn full length tap combinations that will focus on precise steps and foot articulation, movement through space, rhythmic awareness and layering, and will incorporate the use of arm and full body dynamics used in performing tap. Students will also be given group tap combinations designed to develop partnering skills and the ability to work successfully with others in the same dance space. PREREQUISITE: Tap Step 1 or equivalent previous tap experience

Tap Step 3
Students enrolling in this class should have advanced-level tap technique. While focusing on the steps themselves, students will also be working on beats and timing with emphasis on precise footwork and rhythms. The class is designed to enhance musicality and syncopation and to learn how to tap to various styles of music. PREREQUISITE: instructor recommendation

ZumbAtomic
ZumbAtomic is a FUN fitness program designed just for kids ages 7-11! ZumbAtomic combines energetic dance rhythms with games to create a positive fitness environment for children. Not only will your kids get an opportunity to be active, but they will also develop skills in teamwork and leadership!
